Career Day - Rotary's Vocation Month in Action

Rotarian Marietta Walls a veterinarian with Apple Valley Animal Hospital recently visited with third graders to talk about her vocation.  Four members from the Frederick County Rotary Club visited Frederick Douglass Elementary School to tell students about their career.  Ric Van Norton, Mike Perry, Wendy Longerbeam and Marietta Walls each took time out of their busy weekday schedule as part of Rotary's Vocational month.

Why does Club President Kitty Zuckerman have a blue wine bottle at breakfast?

Ask her!

President Kitty Zuckerman and Membership Chair Lea Glembot share a laugh with the Rotary Club of Frederick County's newest member Philip Gould.  Philip is sponsored by Steve Gyurisin.

Rotarian Philip Gould gives a bit of his backgound following his Rotary Welcoming Ceremony.  He recently moved to the Stephens City area with his family and works as the branch manager with Union Bank located in the Martins grocery store.  Welcome to Frederick County, Virginia, Philip.

Never wake a sleeping bear!
Rotarian and Community Outreach Chair Jim Stutzman recently got the "bear" hat award for all the great work he does for our community and club.

The Morning After Halloween

Trick or Treat!
Only one costume appeared at our meeting the day after Halloween.  Rotarian Gerry Kiefer shows us how to dance the night away in her 1920's garb.

Thanks, Gerry, for bringing the "kid" out in all of us.  Was it the "Charleston"?

CCAP Executive Director Fran Ricketts is handed the "Official" Rotary Club of Frederick County Coffee Mug following her presentation about the community needs that CCAP fills.

Rotary Vocation Month

Rotarian John Zimet highlights his career as part of our Club Vocational Program featuring presentations from our own membership.  Each month three or four members will take a few moments to discuss their vocation.
