Observations from the corner table...
A great program was introduced by this months speaker / program coordinator Natalie Miller. Natalie introduced the Interact Co-Advisers Robin Owens and Dana Larrick. Five student Interact members introduced themselves to the Club membership and told about their race for an Interact office position along with the clubs community activities.
Katie Dorsey is running for secretary
Fylan Fogarty is competing for board of director membership
Fariha Kabir is running for president
Keri Vandeberg is also running for president
Taylor Howell is running for vice-president
Each of these student Interact members talked about their community service projects. These include: Blood drive, wrapping presents, after game stadium clean-up, providing phone cards to our overseas service personnel and others.
President Stan Crockett opened the meeting with the assistance of Ken Black leading the Pledge of Alliance and Elizabeth Yates leading our prayer.
Visiting Rotarian from Winchester, John Lamana, was introduced by our gatekeeper Brian Grisby.
Conrad Koneczny announced that the cut-off for the Paul Harris Fellow discount will end next Tuesday.
Tammy Stevenson, president elect, indicated that she was ready to get started soon and announced her BEAR campaign - BE EXCITED ABOUT ROTARY (BEAR)?
Natalie Miller said interviews at Sherando High School with the students will be here soon - she passed around a sign-up sheet. Natalie announced that FBLA won at the State level.
Bill Old still has tickets for dinner to benefit the Arts Academy. See Bill for the tickets.
Joe Myer provided us with a quick passionate comment about the Family Fun Day event and had a little geography lesson. Family Fun Day is an event that is what our Club is all about.
Joe reminded us that team captains will be contacting us to sell sponsorships for Family Fun Day.
President Stan Crockett asked that Club prime committee chairs meet "on-line" to submit Club committee reports by the end of the week.
John Zimet gave us our Rotary minute.
Our guests were amazed with our singing talent as we wished John Brubaker a happy birthday.
Ms. Kitty Zuckerman provided us with an opportunity to "contribute" our special thought for the day.
Brian Grisby was the lucky 30-30-30 winner while Chris Place was not so lucky and did not pull the lucky card.

As we set out on our signature fundraiser, we need to know your level of active support for acquiring business sponsors and auction donors. Please provide the information by email to Bill Old at billold1@comcast.net, or give the form to Bill Old or Bill North. Thanks
Business Sponsors and Auction Donors– This is the part of the event that allows us to support the charities we select. The charities must do their part, but we must be actively engaged as well. To be successful we need to raise at least $500 in sponsorships or auction donations from each Rotarian.
Please list businesses that you have successfully solicited in the past:
