CLUB NEWS

ROTARY CLUB OF FREDERICK COUNTY

Please RSVP by Monday Noon, November 30th if you plan to attend or not attend the Club Christmas Party at Historic Jordan Springs. So far it looks like we have 55 Club Members, GSE Team Members and guests planning to attend. Thank you.

DONATION: Please bring some canned food items or a toy to the event. By doing so, you will be eligible to participate in voting for your favorite Holiday display. This is an annual charity activity conducted by Historic Jordan Springs with the proceeds collected from the votes to be distributed to our charity partner for the evening of our party. Winners will be eligible for additional prizes if they vote on the most popular room this year.

1. From Exit 317 off of I-81, take Rte. 11 NORTH and make a RIGHT onto Rte. 761 Old Charles Town Road that becomes Jordan Springs Road. Go about 1.2 miles and HISTORIC JORDAN SPRINGS will be on your RIGHT. Look for lights and Christmas decorations
2. From Rte. 7 coming in or out of Winchester, look for Woods Mill Road signs and follow. Once on Woods Mill Road follow to STOP sign and make a LEFT on Jordan Springs Road and about 500 yards at the bottom of the hill HISTORIC JORDAN SPRINGS will be on your LEFT. Look for lights and Christmas decorations.

Club Outreach Subcommittee Chair Rotarian Sara Bradley asks, "Think about hosting a GSE team member this Spring. The incoming GSE team from Thailand will be in our area on or around March 24th. They will be staying for approximately one week. The team consists of 3 males and 2 females. They will have tons of group activities planned so you will not be solely responsible for all of their activities. Those who have had this experience before can tell you how great of an opportunity this is. Please let me know if you're interested in hosting a team member."

International – Sara Bradley – Think about hosting a GSE team member this Spring
Vocational – Natalie Miller - During the school year Sherando Interact Club meets twice a month (1st & 3d Wednesdays) and counts as a make-up. Next meeting is: November 18th, 7:00pm at Sherando High School, Choral Room.
