COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Membership – Martha Shickle – Why not forward the Club Newsletter to a prospective member. After the holidays we will be having a membership event. Start thinking of someone to invite.

Club Administration – Chris Place – Our Christmas gathering is scheduled for December 5, 2009 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Historic Jordan Springs – Make plans to enjoy this evening together. Bring a toy or canned goods to be eligible to vote on decorations at Jordan Spring – all donations that night will go to our Club charity partner. Plus you may win a trip to Breckenridge, Colorado.

Club Outreach Sub-Committees:
Community – Malcolm Van de Riet – We will not be doing peanut sales this year. Thanksgiving basket items are to be turned in on November 24 at our meeting. Sign up for Salvation Army Bell Ringing in December.
International – Sara Bradley – Think about hosting a GSE team member this Spring
Vocational – Natalie Miller - During the school year Sherando Interact Club meets twice a month (1st & 3d Wednesdays) and counts as a make-up.
Next meeting is: November 18th, 7:00pm at Sherando High School, Choral Room.

Foundation – John Zimet – STAND - WALK - BREATHE

- Make your plans now. Christmas party at Historic Jordan Springs is December 5th. Chris Place is finishing up the plans.

- Family Fun Day 2010 is June 26, 2010. Mark it down on your calendar now.

- Area 1 UNITY OF ROTARY - Salvation Army Bell Ringing is December 1, 2009 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the "Clean" Wal-Mart (Route 50 West of Winchester - past the Winchester Medical Center. Please sign up to help.

- Thanksgiving baskets are to be prepared and brought to the meeting on November 24th.

- Christmas Parade is November 30th. We are helping with the Santa float and guess who is going to be Santa. Call Stan Crockett to help with the float. Please come downtown and watch the parade and support our favorite Santa.

- Thanks to Jack Ambrose for his help with Kids Voting at Middletown Elementary School.

- Lea Glembot was the first to respond with the correct answer to this weeks bulletin quiz.- Please make room in your home for an incoming GSE team member in the Spring of 2010. This is really a great opportunity.
- District Conference is March 19, 20 and 21, 2010.
