AUCTION ACTION....From Chair/Bill Old:
A big thank you to members who joined one of our auction teams at last Tuesday’s meeting. There are three teams and each will play an essential role in our success.
Sponsor Team (Jack Drumheller) – We plan to contact potential sponsors by mail. The sponsor team will follow-up by phone to be sure that letters arrived and to encourage participation.
Catalog Team (Steve Gyurisin) – We plan to contact many potential item donors by mail. The catalog team will follow up to be sure that letters arrived and to encourage donations. We will be looking for items in particularly popular categories.
Situation Team (Chuck Gersdorf) – This team will be standing by to help with stuff that gets forgotten.
If you haven’t joined a team, Jack Drumheller, Chuck Gersdorf and Steve Gyurisin may invite you personally.
Every club member can provide essential help in any of several ways. We need you.
1. Think about potential sponsors that we can contact.
2. Think about potential item donors that we can contact.
3. Think of people we can send email auction information to. We need lots of bidders.
4. Visit biddingforgood.com to see current online auctions all around the country.
Thought for the week....
In summer I am very glad
We children are so small,
For we can see a thousand things
That men can't see at all.
