Future Leaders Visit Frederick County Club

Having breakfast with the Frederick County Rotary Club at Shenandoah University is a lot of serious fun. More fun than going to class.

Frederick County President Joe Myer (far right) steps forward to have his photograph taken with some future leaders that attended today meeting.
Sherando High School Interact Club leaders and High School Gifted Resource Teacher, Robin Owens (far left) provided the Frederick County Club members, guests and four visiting Rotarians from the Winchester Rotary Club about the activities of the Sherando High School Interact Club sponsored by our Club. Ms. Owens and her students were the program for the meeting. Along with their teacher, each student gave a short summary of their GIS experience and the community service efforts that they are helping to lead. The GIS program helps students by placing each in a mentoring business profession. All three Frederick County High Schools were well represented by student leaders:
James Wood High School - Catherine Woznak and Tyler Dick (right)

Millbrook High School - Cole Peery, Diana Otoya and Presley Parkes (standing rear)

Sherando High School - Cristina Restrepo and Tim Kaetzel (front center)

It is great to see how our effort as a Club helps support these students.

The photo was taken by Steve Gyurisin, PR Committee Chair and is posted on the Club Blog:
