Here is a letter from our DG about our District
Conference:
Dear Rotarian,
Join us as at the District 7570 Annual District
Conference 2013, as we look through our Rotary window to see the global world
of Rotary. I want to encourage you to plan now to attend our annual District Conference, scheduled for
Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17 at the Homestead . Registration is now open!
Those of you who have attended the District Conference
in previous years know it’s a wonderful way to deepen and expand your
understanding of Rotary, and enjoy the company of your fellow Rotarians.
If you've never attended a District Conference, you’ll
find it a rewarding and fun experience. You’ll network with Rotarians from
other Clubs, learn more about what Rotary is doing in our District and around
the world. There will be time for dining, music, games, beer and scotch
tasting, shopping, and exploring the Homestead Resort. This year the Conference
is designed with families in mind, please be sure you check out the family
events.
The Early
Bird discount rates are good until January 10. Be sure to make your plans and register now. A
registration web site has been set up at www.rotarydistrict7570conference2013.org
You can also reach this site via the District web
site, www.rotary7570.org, click on
"Calendar”, then "District Events,” scroll down to "March” and,
to the left of the "Homestead” box, select District
Conference 2013 - Rotarian Registration.
Either way you get to the online registration site,
you’ll be able to pick how much of the Conference you want to attend, whether
your partner will join you, whether you will need a room at the Homestead , and the
activities you want to sign up for. Note that, if you want to reserve a room at
the Homestead ,
you click on "ACCOMODATIONS”, which is near the bottom of the form. Be
sure to enter our Group Rate, RID7570, to get the special conference
rate for Rotarians.
If you prefer a paper registration, your Club’s
District Conference Chair or President can give you a form to complete and
mail.
As a Rotarian, the Conference has always been a "high point ” for me. The
conference gives you a window into the global Rotary world. We have planned an
exciting program, which will be fun as well as informative. Lori and I have put
together a video which can be viewed from the District Home Page or the
District Conference Website.
Lori and I are looking forward to seeing you at The
Homestead.
