CLUB AND COMMITTEE NOTES:

DISTRICT CONFERENCE - It's that time of year again. If you have not attended a District Conference here is your chance. Register Online: The Conference: http://www.blogger.com/ This website will send you to the log-in page for the District Database. Click on the yellow ‘Calendar’ tab, scroll to March & click on the red ‘Register now’ above the District Conference listing. Your stay at the Homestead - http://www.blogger.com/ Rooms are blocked for Rotarians until February 17, 2009. We will also be organizing a day trip with a van and great fellowship for those of you that cannot stay overnight. Either way do not miss it! For more information go to the District website http://rotary7570.org/ or contact Tammy Stevenson.

INTERACT CLUB - The Sherando High School Intreract Club meets on the 1st and 3d Wednesdays of every month. Come by and enjoy a different kind of meeting. It counts as a make-up. The co-advisors are Dana Larrick and Robin Owens. If you have any questions call or ask Natalie Miller. The meetings are held at Sherando High School in the choral room.

PEANUT SALES - Please bring in the money from the sales of the peanuts. You may give the money to Jack Ambrose. Be sure to thank Jim Stutzman and Jack Ambrose for heading up this important fund raiser for our Club. We still have some peanuts for sale if you want large cans.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE - If you know of any students who are interested in traveling abroad, learning a new language and experiencing new cultures, please contact John Brubaker (540-664-9403 or jbrubaker@qapnapa.com), International Service Chair, to discuss both the long and short term programs. The short term program is for approximately three to four weeks and does include a true student exchange element. The long term program lasts for approximately ten months and does not include a student exchange. Deadlines for applications are coming up soon so please get in touch soon. The earlier the student applies the better chance they will have to visit their desired country. Let’s give a student an incredibly positive life changing experience. Call John Brubaker if you know any students that may have an interest.
