October 2009 – Meetings and Events:

10/06-2009 - Tuesday morning, October 6, 2009 at 7:30 a.m. at Shenandoah University in the Clement Board Room - Allen Dining Hall. The program will feature speaker George Ludwig who discuss the Cold War.

10/13/2009 – Tuesday morning, October 13, 2009 at 7:30 a. m. at Shenandoah University in the Clement Board Room - Allen Dining Hall. President Tammy will hand out checks to Family Fun Day Charity Partners.

10/20/2009 - Tuesday morning, October 20, 2009 at 7:30 a.m. at Shenandoah University in the Clement Board Room - Allen Dining Hall. Shenandoah University. Mr. John Brauer will be the guest speaker. Mr. Brauer will discuss the future of Northwest Works.

10/27/2009 - Mr. Robert Kyle McDaniel will be the speaker at the Frederick County Rotary Club meeting Tuesday morning, October 27, 2009 at 7:30 a.m. at Shenandoah University in the Clement Board Room - Allen Dining Hall. Mr. McDaniel is presenting a program about the skills needed for tomorrow’s leaders.

Official Governors Visit - Please add Tuesday, October 20th to your calendar at the meeting of Winchester's Latest is the Official Governors Visit. Governor Ron Napier and his wife Kathy will be honored by Area 1.

Sherando Scholarships - If someone gives Kitty Zuckerman a big check for their birthday...a check equal to their age...they will get their choice of birthday song. This little fun treat has really helped to raise money for Sherando HS scholarships.

About our meetings - We are cutting the time too tight and members need to get out at 8:30am to begin their workday. Please try to arrive on time for breakfast before we start our business meeting and program. Our meeting will now start at 7:45am. Come early and enjoy food and fellowship before we start.
